I was looking at Panorama Marketing Group's own profile this week and noticed something I hadn't filled out: our service area.

That got me thinking about how deceptively simple Google Business Profile looks.

Is your business a storefront or a service-area business? Should your address be visible? Are your service areas correct? Did you choose the best categories? Are your services complete? Are your hours current? Are you responding to reviews and adding new photos?

And here's the scary part: sometimes changing something that looks completely harmless can trigger Google's verification process. I've dealt with enough service-area businesses to know how frustrating that can become.

Your Google Business Profile may be one of your most valuable marketing assets. For many customers, it's what they see before they ever visit your website.
