Marketing Today
Today’s technologies make marketing a lot more affordable and a lot more forgiving that years past.
Panorama Marketing Group was established to help small businesses make the most the opportunities and tools small businesses have to get their message out.
Back in the old days small business relied on direct mail, radio, TV, newspaper and all sorts of marketing strategies that lacked focus.
By targeting those people who are interested in what you are doing your marketing becomes more effective and costs are much lower.
Specifically we believe every small business should have, in order of importance:
A web page. Don’t get caught up in Flash and special effects. Good web developers know “Content is King” – readability and ease of use are also important. The site needs to be “Google-friendly” so the search engines can find it. If you have a big budget – go with the Flash, but it isn’t necessary and is often times over done.
Email Communication. You need to stay in contact with those people who are interested in what you do. That’s why “Constant Contact” is so well named. It’s about staying visible. It takes talent to write something that is relevant on a regular basis, to design it so it is inviting to open when it reaches people’s mailbox. Use your emails to refer readers back to your website. Email marketing is limited because it can’t do all the things a website can do – and some people only receive the text, not the images.
Social Media. Facebook and Twitter are hot. Both do different things. Facebook allows you to put more of your personality out there. It can be time consuming but it does allow you to build relationships. I love Twitter – 140 character micro-blog forces you to be brief. It is a great tool for small businesses.
If you need help with any of the above, we’re here to help!
